Our Story
In 2010, Delor, a resilient survivor of conflict and displacement, created an organization that would provide vital resources and support to those most in need in the Dzaleka refugee camp.
Hope & Help is a non-profit organization committed to improving the lives of vulnerable individuals in Dzaleka refugee camp, Malawi. We aim to address the unique challenges faced by children with disabilities, single mothers, and elders in the camp.
Today, Hope & Help has grown into a life-changing force in the community, operating a feeding center, a school, a resource center, and providing care for elders. Our work is driven by the belief that everyone deserves a chance at a better life, regardless of their circumstances.
Our programs.
What we do…
-
We provide a daily meal to 300 children with disabilities, ensuring they receive the nutrition they need to thrive.
-
Our school offers education to children with disabilities from Monday to Friday, giving them opportunities to learn and grow.
-
We empower single women by teaching them valuable skills like gardening and sewing, which they can use to earn a living. Our resource center also provides microfinance loans, helping these women start their own businesses.
-
Our organization is dedicated to supporting the elders in the camp, providing care, food, and shelter to ensure they live with dignity and respect.
